RGE RD restaurant has been at the forefront of the Canadian food scene since chef Blair Lebsack and Caitlin Fulton opened in 2011. Their food philosophy revolves around the rich variety of local producers in the Edmonton area and in pursuit of that connection with local food, RGE RD’s menu showcases and is dictated by the seasonal ingredients available to them. In addition, they run a series of dinners that are held on the farms of Edmonton producers. These “farm dinners” are a huge support in developing the relationships between producers and their customers. The paired food and drinks are truly amazing but more than that, the experience of eating beets grown in the field across from your table is a unique and incredible experience that every food lover should have.
We’ve worked with RGE RD to not only document the experience of their incredible, season farm dinners but to also showcase their in-restaurant atmosphere. When evening service begins, RGE RD transforms. The buzz of customers talking low across tables, wood textures and soft industrial light fixtures, the glow of the two wood fired ovens piping out heat and splash of cocktails into glasses all contribute to the sense of simply luxury.
